Welcome to our platform. These Terms of Service (the "TOS") set the legally binding conditions for your access to and use of our website and any related online channels, platforms, products, or services, including all content contained in them (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these TOS and all other policies we publish and update from time to time (the "Policies"). If you do not agree, please stop using the Services.
For purposes of these TOS, "you" and "your" mean the user of the Services.
Company means MeltChat; Services means the website, applications, and related online channels, products, or services we provide, including all content contained in them; Policies means all rules, guidelines, and policy documents we publish and may update from time to time; Account means a user account authenticated by email/password or another available login method and used to access certain features of the Services; Content means your inputs (prompts, text, or other material you provide) and outputs generated in response, as well as any related materials visible to you within your account area.
Certain features require an Account. You must use your own credentials, keep them confidential, and accept responsibility for all activity under your Account. Accounts are non-transferable; you may not sell, lend, or share your Account. Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date. We may request additional information from time to time, including to verify you are an adult. We may, in our discretion and where permitted by law, restrict or close Accounts that violate these TOS or the Policies. You acknowledge you have no ownership right in the Account; all rights in and to Accounts remain with the Company.
Some Services are available only to paid subscribers. Subscriptions begin after initial payment and are billed according to the terms shown at purchase. You are responsible for fees, charges, and taxes. We are not responsible for costs or issues arising from third-party distribution platforms that we do not indicate or recognize.
Do not disclose sensitive personal information (for example, payment details, addresses, phone numbers, or passwords) while using the Services. Please report suspicious or inappropriate behavior through the "Contact Us" channel so we can maintain a safe environment.
You represent and warrant that: (a) you enter into these TOS for yourself; (b) you are of legal age to form a binding contract where you live and/or access the Services; and (c) if you are under the legal age in that jurisdiction, you will not access or use the Services.
The Services are intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to access or use the Services. We may implement age-gating and other checks. If we believe an account may be used by a minor, we may limit features, suspend or terminate the account, and remove related content. If we learn that any information has been collected from a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents or legal guardians who believe a minor has used the Services may contact us through the "Contact Us" channel so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Attempts to bypass age restrictions are violations of these TOS and may lead to permanent blocking.
All intellectual property in the Services and any embedded materials (including technology, systems, text, images, audio, video, software, and other content) is owned by or licensed to the Company. Subject to these TOS, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and display the Services for personal, non-commercial use. This license does not transfer title, terminates automatically upon breach, and may be terminated by us at any time.
While using the Services, you may provide text inputs or other prompts and receive outputs (together, "Content"). Input is limited to prompts or chats visible to you within your private account area. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide your input. You retain intellectual-property rights you hold in your input; we do not claim ownership of your input.
When you provide input covered by intellectual property rights, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, display, translate, and process your Content in a manner consistent with our Privacy Notice, including operating, maintaining, improving, and safeguarding the Services; model development and safety/compliance processes (for example, labeling, evaluation, and mitigation); and to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
In accessing and using the Services, you must comply with applicable laws and our Community Guidelines and other Policies. Without limitation, you agree that you will not:
You are solely responsible for outputs generated in response to your inputs, including messages, voice notes, images, or videos. We do not control or endorse any generated content; you are responsible for ensuring compliance with law, these TOS, and the Policies.
We are not responsible for actions or choices you take following interactions with AI Companions. Responses are created by algorithms and machine learning. Exercise judgment and refrain from activities that could cause harm or violate laws or Policies.
We use moderation controls, including proprietary LLM-based systems, to help ensure compliance with these TOS, the Community Guidelines, and other Policies. If our systems flag potential violations, we or authorized partners may access and review flagged material and take action (for example, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, or report to authorities). Requests that contain or seek prohibited content may be altered or blocked before output is generated. We may reject or remove user content at our discretion. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or blocking. Users will not be refunded or reimbursed for moderation actions taken in response to violations of our Policies. We may de-list characters or modify or delete features or content at any time; payments related to such changes are not refunded.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Attempts to create CSAM are illegal and prohibited by the Community Guidelines and the Blocked Content Policy. We report known CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or other authorities as appropriate.

As a free user you may send a limited number of messages (currently 5). Further use requires a subscription, which may be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. Subscriptions are payable by card, Pay by Bank, and/or other alternative payment methods available in specific countries. After payment, subscribers receive unlimited messaging and a monthly token allotment (currently 100) for extended features such as image generation or voice notes. Tokens are non-transferable between users or accounts. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term; you can cancel autorenewal at any time in your account settings.
Outputs are created on demand by AI. You understand there are inherent limitations in emerging AI; content may be imprecise or fail to meet your preferences. Moderation systems may also alter or block your request when it contains or seeks prohibited content. We strive to improve continuously.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, TITLE, AND ANY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE. WITHOUT LIMITATION, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICES OR RESULTS WILL BE TIMELY, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED; (B) THE SERVICES WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (C) MATERIALS OR OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE; OR (D) ANY ERRORS OR MALFUNCTIONS WILL BE CORRECTED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, LIQUIDATED, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR SUBSTITUTE PROCUREMENT, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DELAYS OR FAILURES CAUSED BY EVENTS BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL.
The Services may include links to or integrations with third-party sites or services. Their presence does not mean we recommend them. We do not control third-party content and do not guarantee safety or suitability. Your use is at your own risk and subject to third parties' terms and policies. You should take precautions and understand we are not responsible for transmissions, infections, or damage related to third-party content.
These TOS are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, regardless of your location. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these TOS or the Policies shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
We may update these TOS and other Policies from time to time at our discretion. Changes may take effect when posted through the Services, and we may provide notice as appropriate. Please review regularly. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree, stop using the Services. We may also change the platform or scope of the Services from time to time and may stop or restrict provision to a user, as set out in these TOS and the Policies.

These TOS and Policies remain effective until terminated by you or by us. You may terminate by ceasing use (and canceling any paid subscription as applicable). We may terminate your access, with or without notice, for any reason, including actual or suspected violations. We reserve the right to assign, transfer, or subcontract the Services (notice may be posted within the Services). Continued use after an update indicates consent.
If any provision is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent possible and will not affect the validity of the remainder. These TOS and the Policies are the entire agreement concerning your access and use of the Services and supersede prior or contemporaneous understandings. We will collect and process your information in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
